While searching high and low for flights and resorts for our upcoming family vacation, I finally found a common window for our flight and accommodation bookings. However, I couldn't push through with the reservation because my father was reluctant to give out his credit card details. And in just a few minutes, our online booking vanished into thin air!

How I wish I had known this site, a secure communication solution which allows one to seal online deals through over-the-phone password verification, anytime, any place, at in any imaginable language.

Too bad, too late.

Pansamantalang takipsilim ang pag-asang makita kang muli, Bora...

Not known to many, my first trip to Bora was 9 years and x lbs ago. It was not as crowded, not as noisy, not as commercial. And I was not as "un-thin". Hihi!

I had always planned and hoped for a reunion with the celebrated island but I guess it would have to wait. What was being planned as fab family vacation (we had confirmed villa reservations already) transformed into one helluva nightmare. All flights are fully-booked!

Hindi na sya isang pangarap. Isa na syang BANGUNGOT.

LAFF TRIP

Bush League reminds me of SNL, only better--hilarious videos, men in the strangest and funniest situations, jokes galore...you get the picture.

I am currently at iblog4, the 4th Bloging Summit of the Philippines.

Spotted at UP's Malcolm Hall...The small pieces of paper are meal stubs, by the way. Hehehe.

It is my first visit to UP after 10+++ years. Quite a long story why I used to frequent the campus that bred most of our country's pangulos or pang-gulos :D Suffice it to say that today's visit brought back memories (the good, the bad, and even the ugly). Nonetheless, I am happy to be back, and for a rich and insightful visit at that. The forum brought together an impressive roster of experts with varying takes on the blogging phenomenon.

Attending the summit has given me a renewed sense of commitment and purpose. My entries may be of the petty and mundane. My page ranking may be close to nil. My audience, may just be composed mostly of patient and supportive friends. However, it still gives me a sense of pride and ownership that I have finally made a claim on a small corner of cyberspace.

I am extremely happy to be here. And I hope to make the most of my stay.

OUR FAMILY DAY AT EEE-KAY

As I mentioned here, potential LP yield was at an all-time low. Despite this, our family enjoyed every bit of the trip. It was rather unfortunate that we didn't have enough time to enjoy the rides because we arrived late. Sa kakaiwas ng init, ayan, ni hindi man namin inabot ang sunset. Hahaha! (Note to self: Bitin nga pala ang 3-hour stay sa EK!)

It was my and Haligi's 5th visit to EK, and Haligilet's 3rd, but it was a memorable one nonetheless because Haligilet was now of "LEGAL HEIGHT" to try out rides other than the carousel. See him sporting his orange tag? :)

Today is our last day in this wonderful paradise.

The satisfied smiles on our faces were testament that indeed, we enjoyed the Buri experience to the hilt.

These photos were taken last night, capturing our sadness and regret, as we bid the place we called home for the past two days, goodbye.

The tide is low, the sea is still

We are on Day Two in this delightful oasis.

O ha, cuma-comeback sya... As I mentioned here, Yaya M bid us goodbye to start her own mini enterprise. Mukhang nainip ata si Yaya M sa ROI ng tindahan.

Hindi man lang sya nagpa-miss. Nasayang tuloy ang aking makabagbag-damdaming farewell text sa kanya.

Pansin nyo ba ang similarity ng lingo ni Yaya M at ni Mamang Trainer? Baka pwidi sila mag-dit. Hihihi!

GOT GLOVES?

Haligi and I have discovered a new sport.
8 years of blissful togetherness and hearty meals have already taken their toll on our bodies and how! And so, after a series of broken zippers, popped buttons and nerve-wracking scale readings, we have vowed to transform ourselves from heavyweights to heavyweight champs. Hehehe!

Sabi nga pala ni Haligi, magkaiba kami ng weight division--buset!

Signing up at the Elorde Boxing Gym was a breeze. For just a little over Php5,000.00, Haligi and I were able to pay for a year's membership, and a pair each of boxing gloves and bandages.

Despite the testosterone-y feel to it, I actually enjoyed my first "bout" at the gym. In between huffs and puffs, I was able to get some comic relief too, from my trainer.

Mamang Trainer's Glossary of Terms:

• DYAB! DYAB! DYAB - (JAB! JAB! JAB!)
• STRIT! - (STRAIGHT!)
