A NEW JOURNEY

One down, one more day to go. Despite a satisfactory Saturday, I consider this weekend to be one of the longest and loneliest of my life.

I missed my husband and son all the more after getting off the phone with Haligi this morning. He called to tell me that my fil was toying with the idea of selling our Ford. Oh nooo!!!
Our pick-up, Ivory, has a lot of sentimental value to us. You see, we took some of our first trips as a family aboard that white beauty. And although it could be such a gas guzzler, we loved it to bits. For practicality's sake however, we chose to have the pick-up exiled in Haligi's hometown, and took our subsequent family trips using our black van, Charcoal.

All alone here in Manila, I surfed the net for pictures of our Ford "friend" and did a bit of reminiscing. Over at TheCarConnection.com, I was able to see a wide array of pictures, reviews and specs of Ivory's Ford family in every form, make and size--from SUVs, to pick-ups, to sedans. I remembered the great memories and journeys made on that great vehicle. It will truly be missed.

I hope my fil will reconsider.
