PROJECT RAO

RAO is my bestEST friend.

We have been best buddies since our college days (no, you are not allowed to ask when that was!), where we progressed from being purely seatmates, to cheatmates, to chatmates, and to everything else in between.

Thanks to technology, our friendship has stood the test of time and space, especially now that work has plucked RAO away from the Philippines, away from me. Last I checked, RAO's hectic career has taken her across Asia, the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, just to name a few. It is sad though that we have missed a lot of each other's major events, milestones, even heartaches. I miss her terribly.

To pay tribute to my dearest friend, I plan to spring a surprise to New Zealand on RAO's --th birthday. I am cooking up a short but sweet tour of the earth's youngest country to celebrate the special day of my oldest and dearest friend.

Admittedly, I do not know how to go about it. There's a lot of room for exploration in this culturally diverse and fascinating country. Beaches, forests, parks, waterfalls and wildlife are just some of the exciting and impressive attractions of New Zealand.

Lodging choices are endless too. In the interest of budget and convenience though, it would definitely be a toss among any of the cheap accommodations found in Aukland, Christchurh, Queenstown or Wellington, depending on where the wind, our will (and worth) shall take me and RAO :)
Project RAO is definitely on. Wish me luck!
