LIFE'S A BEACH

We're back from our annual family R&R, which took place, this time, at Puerto Galera.

We stayed at Talipanan Beach, the less crowded, little-known neighbor of White Beach and Sabang. Talipanan boasts of a clean beach stretch with fine white sand perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Accommodations are modest compared to our original Boracay destination, but peaceful and decent enough to afford one a good night's sleep. Food is good and reasonably priced too; and variety, noteworthy--ranging from international cuisine like pizzas and pasta, to good ole Filipino fare. There's also a tiny halo-halo and shake stand right off the shore, the perfect cap for a day of basking under the sun.

It was our son's first trip to the island and he enjoyed every minute of it.
I am thankful Haligilet did not inherit my infamous fear (fear, being an understatement) of the water. He conquered the sea with glee, even joining beloved Haligi for a little snorkeling trip. Not much photos to document that though, because yours truly was just to scared to take a peek. Hinalughog ko talaga ang langit sa aking mga dasal at pagsusumamo para sa isang matiwasay na boatride. Nakaraos naman :)

Here are some of my favorite pics from our trip to Galera's Talipanan Beach:
